Quota-participating OPEC+ crude production fell -178 kbpd to 35,964 kbpd in December, according to official OPEC+ secondary source aggregate statistics. This is the first real decline in the group’s target-bound output since output hikes accelerated in April and weakness was driven, overwhelmingly, by a -237 kbpd m/m pullback in Kazakh output due to the ongoing damage and operational disruption at the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) marine terminal.
Flows-implied Great 8 member production estimates narrowed to their tightest difference compared to official production data since early 2024.
