North American total liquids output rose 406 kbpd m/m to a fresh all-time high of 29.8 MMbpd in August, maintaining growth of roughly 1 MMbpd y/y driven by still-steady albeit slower US gains and strong Canadian output, which together continue to offset once again contracting Mexican production.
Continental petroleum product consumption advanced modestly on the month to 25 MMbpd, down roughly 100 kbpd y/y as US and Canadian consumption took at least a temporary step back while Mexican demand remained comparatively firmer.
