North American petroleum liquids production pulled back by -312 kbpd m/m to 31,072 kbpd in May, still up +1,425 kbpd on the year, with monthly declines driven largely by steep seasonal maintenance across Canadian oilsands and US federal Gulf offshore output.
Continental petroleum product demand slumped -730 kbpd m/m to 24,417 kbpd in May (-198 kbpd y/y), driven largely by weakness in the consumption of key road fuels in the US.
